Schonach, Germany  - World Cup leader Anssi Koivuranta of Finland captured the Nordic combined over 10 kilometres in Schonach, Germany on Sunday.

Bill Demong of the United States won a four-man fight for second place, 7.1 seconds ahead of Germany's Bjoern Kircheisen.

Koivuranta had a minute start after the jump but had to battle hard to hold off Demong, crossing the line 6.7 seconds ahead of Demong in 22 minutes 15.4 seconds.

It was a fourth victory of the season for Koivuranta who moves to 643 points in the standings, ahead of Demong (447), Norway's Magnus Moan (420) and Kircheisen (409). (dpa)
