Microsoft closes security hole

Microsoft closes security holeBonn, Germany  - Windows users should use their operating system's update function to close a security gap in the system.

The fix for the newly-discovered security holes comes in the form of a patch made available by Microsoft, says the German Federal Agency for Security in Information Technology (BSI) in Bonn.

Without the patch, users are vulnerable to three different attacks. The first can potentially be used to crash the user's machine, while the other two can be used by attackers to gain full control of the computer. (dpa)
