Maharashtra Taekwondo Association (MTA) conducted the 23rd Inter-District Taekwondo Meet foo sub juniors and Pee Wees at the Navi Mumbai Sports Association.

The tournament was conducted by Ivan Jesudasan, technical director of MTA in which 121 players participated in 21 male and 11 female categories.

Jesudasan, a 5th degree black belt from World Taekwondo Federation, Korea said, "We have been conducting this tournament for the past 23 years and have seen a consistent participation in it. Though there are 21 categories in men's category, there are only 11 categories in women's category since the number of females participating in the tournament has always been lesser than the males."

Jesudasan added, "Apart from gold, silver and bronze we have also given out some encouragement awards to those who could not win any medal but gave their opponents a tough fight and performed well through out the tournament."
