Coach sets bad precedent
Teachers tell their pupils the difference between right and wrong, but here is person from the fraternity who was educating his students to get down to a physical fight.
The only difference was it was not in a classroom, but a basketball court.
Coach Lalit Nahata of the Dastur Girls' High School was heard shouting at his players to beat the opponents physically because they could not match the skills of the rivals during the 4th Vasantrao Limaye Memorial under-13 basketball tournament in their own backyard on Monday.
His constant egging drew the opponents, St Joseph's Girls High school, coach Mathew Fernandes anger. He was seen arguing with Nahata on the ground and asking him why he was instructing his players to hit their rivals. The fracas brought the game to the halt for over five minutes. Thankfully, none of the Dastur girls raised a finger against their opponents.
But it did not end there. Nahata was later seen beating a young Ayra Gawas after the match because she did not listen to his instructions from the sidelines.
