Pakistan premier expresses condolences on death of Obama grandmother
Islamabad- Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Tuesday expressed his condolences on the death of the grandmother of US Democratic Party presidential candidate Barack Obama.
Obama had revealed Monday evening that his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, 86, who helped raise him in Hawaii, had just passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer.
"May the departed soul be rest in peace, and her family get courage to bear the grief," Gilani said in a statement. (dpa)
