Lalu Yadav hopeful about alternate Government in Jharkhand

JharkhandNew Delhi, Jan 19 : Though the Union Cabinet has decided to impose President’s rule in Jharkhand, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav today, said that an alternate Government could still be formed.

When asked about the possibility of fresh elections in the state, Prasad diplomatically answered that President’s rule is not a solution.

Mir Mohtesham Ali, 33, had come to the Rail Bhavan, the Ministry of Railways' main office, in the national capital for a courtesy meet with the minister. The latter was highly impressed when the body builder showed him his solid muscular built.

"Rahul Gandhi is doing what (Mahatma) Gandhiji did on his return to India (from South Africa). He is going to the rural areas to gauge the pulse of the people. His family has sacrificed a lot for the country. He has my best wishes. If the party reaps the benefits of his effort, that will be good," he said in a summit at New Delhi.

Lalu Prasad YadavNew Delhi, Nov. 21 : Regional parties have the possibility coming together to form the next government, Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Yadav said on Friday.

Revealing that he was in touch with leaders of various regional parties, Yadav told participants at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit here that he would not disclose the details just yet.

He said there was no doubt about coalition politics remaining embedded in India, and added that new political parties are cropping up every now and then.”
