Melbourne, Nov 30 : Owing to the global credit crunch, superstars including Madonna, Paul McCartney and Neil Diamond have scrapped Australian tour plans.

According to reports, Madonna was scheduled to perform at Sydney''s ANZ Stadium and Melbourne''s Docklands in late January.

In fact, Tickets for Madonna''s shows were due to go on sale two weeks ago and ‘The Material Girl’ planned to charge a top ticket price of 400 dollars.

The shows were being presented by US tour giant Live Nation and local promoter Michael Coppel.

"It got as close as anything ever gets. Madonna was coming to Australia, the dates were resolved, then economics got in the way,'''' The Daily Telegraph quoted a tour industry source as saying.

Washington, November 28 : Britney Spears’ new album ‘Circus’ has a song that contains Madonna’s processed voice.

The Material Girl’s trademark voice can be heard for about 50 seconds in the song titled ‘Kill the Lights’.

A whole verse has been sung in Madge’s voice, including the line: "There’s more to me than what you see."

The song is about paparazzi, one of the least interesting subjects known to man.

Britney even makes a throwaway reference to Madonna in later in the song, which is suggested to eligible to become a big dance hit in clubs.

New York, November 27 : Madonna might have been singing for her alleged beau Alex Rodriguez, while he beamed at the front row of the singer’s concert in Miami.

The Queen of Pop, who was recently granted a ‘quickie’ divorce from hubby Guy Ritchie, fuelled rumours after she fixed her gaze on the ace baseball player while singing ‘You Must Love Me’.

Meanwhile, the power-hitting baseman was spotted smiling back ‘affectionately’ at the Dolphin Stadium as he seated himself between Rod Stewart and manager Guy Oseary, reports the New York Daily News.

London, November 27: Madonna has fuelled rumours of dating Alex Rodriguez after she was spotted getting off a private jet with the ace baseball player in Miami.

The Queen of Pop, who was recently granted a ‘quickie’ divorce from hubby Guy Ritchie, has been speculated to be in a relationship with A-Rod – one of the alleged reasons for her split, reports the New York Post.

The ‘Material Girl’, who has never been snapped with the sport favourite, was allegedly seen leaving the jet first, followed by A–Rod who was said to be on the look out for photographers before joining the singer in the car.
