After announcing a ‘swayamvara’ as part of a reality show on NDTV Imagine, Rakhi Sawant is receiving thunderous response from prospective grooms from all over the world.
From businessmen, doctors to models and NRIs, over 12,500 hopefuls have already forwarded their profiles in just 20 days of the show announcement, in the hope that they will woo Rakhi and marry her.
There has been a flood of entries received through phone, email, sms and even personal deliveries to the NDTV Imagine office in Mumbai

“I think it’s an interesting concept, to make fool of people. Dance reality shows are already making fool of people and now there’s yet another reality show adding to such kind of shows.” Ashmit feels that Rakhi Sawant always benefits the entertainment channels with her presence, “I think Rakhi is all about, TRP’s. Her presence in any show attracts the eyeballs.”

Why marriage?
I want to settle down. I have worked a lot, made good money. Now I am
feeling lonely. And like all Indian woman, I too want to have a loving
husband, caring in -laws and God willing, later kids as well. I also
feel the need to come home to somebody after a hard day at work.
Unlike popular perception, I am quite a traditional girl at heart, I
want to do my husband’s seva. I will also touch my mother in law's
feet as the way to a man's heart does lie through his mother.
The bold and hot Rakhi Sawant is now planning her 'swayamvara', choosing a groom and tying the nuptial knot with the selected one on NDTV Imagine's new show Rakhi Ka Swayamvara.
Out of 15 grooms, the dancer-actress will select his life partner and will take audience help to decide on her perfect man.
