Oslo - Former British prime minister Tony Blair on Friday said a two-state solution was the only means of solving the Israeli- Palestinian conflict.

Gaza City - Former British prime minister Tony Blair cancelled a visit to the Gaza Strip scheduled for Tuesday morning, Israel Radio reported. 

Gaza  - Hamas officials in the Gaza Strip Monday said former British prime minister Tony Blair would visit the enclave the following day but would not meet with members of the Islamic movement.

Ismail Radwan and Ahmed Yousef, two senior members of Hamas, said Blair, who is currently the representative of the Mideast Quartet - made up of the United States, European Union, Russia and the United Nation - would be provided security by the police forces of their movement.

Hamas took over Gaza last summer, ousting forces loyal to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas of the rival Fatah party.

5,021 Poles were put to the test, and one in four said that they would love to have the former Brit PM running their country.

The reason Blair is so popular among the Pole who call him an ‘outstanding statesman’ is that he opened up the UK to a million immigrants.

Second on the list was German Chancellor Angela Merkel, followed by US President George W Bush in the third spot, reports The Sun.
