Peugeot unveils E-3008 Electric SUV’s exterior ahead of September 12 full debut

After revealing the stylish cabin of the Peugeot E-3008 Electric SUV in June, the French automaker has now unveiled the battery-powered crossover’s exterior ahead of its official full debut on September 12, 2023. Pulling back the curtain on the redesigned Peugeot E-3008 Electric SUV, the automaker provided us with the initial glimpse at the vehicle’s eye-catching exterior. Shedding its camouflage, the contemporary Peugeot aesthetic boasts ultra-slim headlights positioned up-front high on the face, while the daytime running lights gracefully cut through the vehicle’s bodywork below. The distinctive grille design of the crossover proudly showcases the ‘Peugeot badge’ underneath the model wordmark.

At the rear, the electric crossover SUV exudes an angular charm, featuring a strong bumper beneath a slim, full-width taillight element, while the sheet metal adds to its distinctive character by displaying unique creases that extend from the outer bumper corners to the liftgate glass.

The interior of the electric SUV in question was previously unveiled in the month of June this year, when the automaker showcased the vehicle’s innovative Panoramic i-Cockpit, which incorporates an impressive 21-inch curved display hovering above a fabric-like dashboard. This advanced technology is expected to make its way into some other upcoming models. In addition, the interior boasts an instrument panel-mounted gear selector, positioned between a start-stop button and a sleek row of i-Toggles. There are around a dozen configurable, touch-sensitive buttons.

The interior also features a meticulously crafted center console connects seamlessly with the dashboard between the seats. It boasts a unique motif of buttons. A pair of cup holders, a wireless charging pad on the passenger's side, a distinctively-designed unique steering wheel adorned with multiple buttons for vehicle controls are some of the other notable features of the cabin.

The precise powertrain details for the new SUV are yet to be disclosed, but it is widely expected to mirror the electric variant of the 308. The lineup will reportedly include three fully-electric powertrain options, large battery packs. Some reports also suggest that an exciting dual-motor variant of the vehicle will deliver all-wheel drive (AWD) capability. Furthermore, the French brand will provide the E-3008 with a mild-hybrid powertrain option that will combine a 1.2-liter gasoline engine with electric assistance.

The highly anticipated full debut of the new Peugeot E-3008 Electric SUV is scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) in France at 12:30 pm CET (6:30 am ET).
