Amritsar, July 22: Amritsar Police have seized seven kilograms of heroin from four people, including one Pakistan national.

Acting on a tip off, a police squad nabbed the four smugglers including one Muneer Ahmed from Pakistan as they were trying to strike a deal for the contraband.

The heroin was being smuggled through the riverside area of Ferozpur, bordering Pakistan, said Amritsar District''s Senior Superintendent of Police, Tulsi Ram.

India is viewed as a major transit point for drug smuggling to the West.
