London, Jan. 29: British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has told President Pervez Musharraf that a stable Pakistan is in the international community’s interests, while the latter has assured the former that next month's general elections will be credible and will see the participation of all political parties.
Addressing a joint press conference in London after a one-to-one meeting with President Pervez Musharraf at 10 Downing Street, Brown said the democratic process in Pakistan was a priority for the international community.
Washington, Jan. 28: Veteran Democrat and Senator Edward M. Kennedy has reportedly rejected entreaties to support the Clintons and is set to endorse Senator Barack Obama's presidential bid on Monday.
The Kennedy charisma and connections will come as a big boost to the Obama campaign before the 22-state Feb. 5 showdown for the Democratic nomination.
