Rab ne Bana Di Jodi has turned out be really lucky for Yah Raj Films. The movie, which was released on 12th December 2008, has broken all earlier opening weekend collection records for Yash Raj Films.

It has been learnt that the movie has collected approximately Rs 60 crores worldwide on its opening weekend, and has surpassed Dhoom 2, that was seen as one of the highest grossing films of all-time.
 
A new record has been set by the movie in the Middle East as the highest opening film of all-time. If compared to Dhoom 2, which grossed approximately $1.86 million across its entire run, Rab Ne has grossed approximately $1 million (Rs 47 crores approx) on its opening weekend alone. The movie has also received a grand opening across all overseas markets, including the UK, USA, Australia, Europe, Africa, and other territories in Asia.
