Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa will visit India to attend the BIMSTEC summit on13 November.

BIMSTEC is a trade group comprising of seven countries of South-Asian region. It includes Bangladesh, Thailand, Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar, besides India and Sri Lanka.  

According to sources Rajpaksa is expected to arrive late on November 12.

Rajpaksa will meet Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at the side lines of the summit. During the meeting both the leaders will have dialogue on proposed agreement where fishermen will get license for fishing in certain areas of the sea without any obstacles.
