The annual results posted by the Virgin Media state that in the first quarter of the year, the figures posted were a record breaking high for VoD.

A steady but continuous rise has been noticed in 'On demand video' as stated by cable TV, broadband and phone service provider Virgin Media.

It was observed that the firm had posted a growth in services to 2.1 million i. e., a sixty per cent of the firm's customers. And this data was for the first three months of 2010.

In case of the average figures quarterly, a twenty four per cent hike was observed that amassed to 68 million, and the shocking thing to be noticed out here is the variety in content which is being watched over here that ranges from soaps like Eastenders, Coronation Street to other popular terrestrial shows.

This proves a clear fact that viewers are not bothered about the content on TV, they just want it to be watched irrespective of timings or schedules.
