Realtor held for sending lewd messages to Tamil actress
The police arrested a 35-year-old real estate businessman in Chennai for allegedly sending lewd phone messages to South Indian actress Sneha.
The arrested, N Raghavendra, a BCom graduate and a realtor, was arrested from a five star hotel in Chennai.
The police added that a case has been registered against stalker under Tamil Nadu Women Harassment Act. He has been remanded to 15-days judicial custody.
While speaking on this, Sneha said, "He was harassing me for the last eight months. He started sending me SMS'a asking me to marry him and also followed me to my shooting locations. Soon he started threatening me, it was then that I decided to call the cops."
As per the sources, the Tamil actress lodged a complaint with the Commissioner of Police T. Rajendran that an unidentified man was harassing her by sending repeated messages in the last six months.
A special team led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime Cell) M. Sudhakar was formed to investigate the case.
The team tracked the mobile number to Bangalore where N. Raghavendran was using it. Though there was no obscenity in the messages, the accused harassed the actor by sending the messages frequently asking her to marry him.
