Mumbai-headquartered Zicom Electronic Security Systems Ltd has bagged an order worth Rs 7.5 crore. The company has not disclosed the name of the buyer firm.

The contract involves supply, installation, commissioning and project management of wireless broadband outdoor surveillance system for Gurgaon on turn key basis.

Recently, company's board has approved raising up to $20 million funds, through issue of overseas convertible bonds, global depositary receipts or other instruments.

Mumbai/New Delhi, Sept 25 : Family of Mohammad Zakir, who has been arrested in connection with the serial bombings in the country, refutes his involvement in the blasts that rocked the country, killing several people.

Shahid Shiekh brother of Zakir who was arrested by the Mumbai crime branch on Wednesday rejects his association with any militant group and his participation in the recent serial blasts in Delhi, Ahmedabad and other cities.

Mumbai: With an intention to strengthen the healthcare network in the city, Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has decided to open up a medical college in Mulund, a north-eastern suburb of mumbai. With a 300 bed hospital, the college will enroll nearly 50 MBBS students in its first batch in 2009.  

Mumbai, Sept 24 : The Mumbai police’s Crime branch on Wednesday arrested five suspected members of the Indian Mujahedeen, believed to be responsible for recent blasts in Delhi, Ahmadabad and other cities.

They have been identified as Abdul Afzal Usmani, Mohammad Sadiq Sheikh, Mohammad Aarif Sheikh, Ahmed Zakir Sheikh and Sheikh Mohammed Ansar.

According to the police they have also recovered ten kilograms of ammonium nitrate, four electric circuits, sub machine gun and revolvers from the suspects.

Mumbai, Sept 24: Over nine lakh bank employees are going on a two-day strike from today demanding settlement of issues like wage revision and termination of job outsourcing in banking sector among other things.

Normal banking transactions are likely to be disrupted across 50,000 branches, including about 15,000 branches of the State Bank of India (SBI) and its six associate banks.

Mumbai-headquartered Dolphin Offshore Enterprises India Ltd has received two orders worth $ 16 million for charter hire of DP / DSV Vessels.

The company has secured first contract worth US$ 10 million from Leighton India Pvt. Ltd, which is expected to be completed in 3 months.

While, the second contract, valued at US$ 6 million has been picked from Punj Lloyd Ltd, schedule to be completed in 2 months.
