Nepali Foreign Minister Upendra YadavKathmandu, Aug 25: Nepali Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav has reportedly said that his country would keep an equal distance from both India and China since “the dynamics of diplomatic ties have changed”.

Yadav said that the new Nepali government will keep “equal distance” from its two neighbors, India and China, reported the Xinhua.

The foreign minister, also chairman of Madhesi People's Rights Forum (MPRF), the fourth largest party in the Constituent Assembly (CA), was sworn in on Friday alongside seven other ministers.

Prachanda to meet Chinese President

Kathmandu, Aug 24 : Prachanda to meet Chinese PresidentNepal''s Prime Minister Prachanda will meet Chinese President Hu Jintao in Beijing today.

Prachanda who has reached Beijing on Saturday to attend the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games will also meet Chinese premier Wen Jiabao.

According to sources, Prachanda will attend the luncheon hosted by Jiabao in honor of visiting heads of State and Government.

He will meet senior leaders of Chinese Communist Party on Monday.

Nepal PM Prachanda pledges Panchsheel ties with neighbours

Pushpa Kamal Dahal Kathmandu, August 23 : Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday called on for national consensus for fulfilling people’s aspiration to establish sustainable peace in the country, and added that bilateral ties with the neighbouring countries will rest on the Panchsheel.

Addressing the nation for the first time after becoming the prime minister, Dahal stressed that stability cannot be ensured with effort of a side.
