Teenage solo sailor makes it half way round the world Sydney  - An English teenager docked in Tasmania on Saturday at the half-way point of his attempt to break a round-the-world sailing record held by an Australian.

Mike Perham, only just 17, hopes to break the record set 10 years ago by Melbourne's Jesse Martin, who was 18 when he circumnavigated the globe alone.

Perham, who set out in November, said his worst moment came a week ago off the coast of West Australia.

According to a report by ABC News, the map, charted by Australian, British and American astronomers at the Anglo Australian Observatory in Coonabarabran, New South Wales, shows where galaxies are, in respect to each other, and to our own.

Symonds had a shocking season and suffered from injury, poor form and controversy in addition to undergoing counselling for personal problems.

The three uncapped players among the group are Western Australian spinner Aaron Heal, Victorian batsman Rob Quiney and South Australian wicketkeeper Graham Manou.
