UAE partakes Follow-up Int'l Conference on Financing for Development

UAE, Qatar sign MoU to increase flights between them

Qatar AirwaysWAM The United Arab Emirates represented by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar to increase the number of flights between the two countries.

According to the MoU, Fly Dubai was appointed as the UAE national carrier along with Emirates, Etihad, Air Arabia and Rak Air as the UAE's national carriers while Qatar Airways was appointed as Qatar's national carrier.

Seamless flow of pilgrims at Abu Dhabi Airport ensured: ADAC

ADACABU DHABI, Nov. 29th., 2008: Abu Dhabi International Airport began its pilgrimage (Hajj) services on Monday as the first flight departed for the holy land, said today a press release by Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) which operates the Airport.

"All the necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a seamless flow of pilgrims at the airport," said Sheikha Al Maskari, ADAC's Vice President of Corporate Affairs.

The World's Largest and record breaking Fireworks Display in Abu Dhabi on National Day

Abu DhabiDhabi, Nov 29th, 2008 : On 2nd December, the world's largest and record breaking Fireworks Display will light up Abu Dhabi's night sky, thanks to a line up of events organised by the Emirates Palace to celebrate the 37th National Day of UAE.

The fireworks will begin at 08.30pm lasting for 45 minutes, and will be visible along the Abu Dhabi Corniche and across the Emirates Palace Marina, said a statement from the Emirates Palace.

The hotel also announced a breathtaking colourful line up of entertaining cultural, musical and artistic events in celebration of the UAE's 37th National Day.
