Brit teen racer seeks to emulate Hamilton and Raikkonen

Lewis HamiltonLondon, Nov. 20 : British teenager Adam Christodoulou, who won this year’s Formula Renault UK championship, says that he has set his sights on emulating Formula One champions Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton.

Adam Christodoulou, 19, says that he hopes to emulate Raikkonen and Hamilton by making it all the way to the F1 grid.

The Sun quoted Christodoulou, who has Greek Cypriot ancestry, as saying: "It’s a pleasure to follow Lewis and Kimi in winning the Formula Renault title – and it means a lot to achieve something they achieved. I’m sure it will inspire me to reach my ultimate goal of Formula 1."

Question marks over Sidebottom’s durability and future

India, EnglandKanpur, Nov. 20 : Question marks have surfaced about England fast bowler Ryan Sidebottom’s durability and future in the game after he was ruled out of the third one-day international against India being played here today.

Sidebottom, England’s player of the year for 2007-08, has bowled only two overs in an England shirt since early August because of a succession of injuries that included problems with his groin, hip, back, side and ankle, reports the Daily Express.

The Fireman’s third album set to release

"I just totally trust him, throw everything in the book at him," BBC quoted McCartney, as saying about Youth.

The album, which is slated to release on November 24, has already received rave reviews from Rolling Stone and Uncut.

Satchel filled with three bags of crisps saves Brit schoolgirl from car hit!

London, November 20 : An 11-year-old, who suffered a car hit, owes her life to her school bag crammed with her PE kit and three bags of crisps.

Ayse Kinsman, who had been walking back home with her twin sister, was rammed into after the driver of the car jumped a red light.

Ayse, who was flung into the air after being hit by the car’s bonnet, was able to avoid serious injury since her heavy school satchel containing the crisps felt the hard-hitting impact.

As per the paramedics the little girl from Bodmin, Cornwall, could have even lost her life or suffered serious damage had it not been for the bag.

X Files’ Gillian Anderson considering heading back home to US

Gillian-AndersonLondon, Nov 20 : American actress Gillian Anderson is considering moving back to her home in the US now that President-elect Barack Obama has won.

The actress, who recently gave birth to her third child, revealed to pals that she intended to move out of London, where she is currently based with her British partner Mark Griffiths, and go back to her native America.

“Gillian has enjoyed living in London in recent years but made it clear she’d consider moving back to the US if Obama won,” the Daily Express quoted a friend of hers as revealing.
