David BeckhamLondon, Nov 20 : Soccer ace David Beckham was reportedly spotted getting cosy with Francesca Leiweke as they watched an LA Lakers basketball game together.

Beckham had always been spotted sneaking glances at cheerleaders, but this time the LA Galaxy star only had eyes for Leiweke, who fans noticed like a younger and curvier version of Becks wife Victoria.

Last time the couple lived apart when he played for Real Madrid, Becks was alleged to have bedded Rebecca Loos, 31.

Lost cockatiel reunites with owners after speaking to them on the phone

London, Nov 20 : A pet cockatiel that went missing for two days was reunited again with his owners after he spoke with them on the phone.

Smokey had gone missing over the weekend after flying out of the door of David Edwards'' home in Gwersyllt, near Wrexham.

His adventures came to a stop two miles away in Bellevue Park when he perched on accountant Sue Hill''s shoulder.

Hill immediately took him in and phoned the RSPCA, which put her in touch with Edwards who had reported his cockatiel missing, but in order to confirm that the bird belonged to them, she put the bird on the phone.

“I was given a phone number for the man, Mr Edwards, but I wanted to be sure he was the actual owner,” the Telegraph quoted her as saying.

Parrot taking Prozac to beat the blues following owner’s death!

London, Nov 20 : It may sound bizarre but an African Grey parrot is taking Prozac after suffering from depression following the death of his owner.

The parrot named Glum Fred came under major depression, when his beloved dad George Dance died 9 months ago, so much that he bit all his neck feathers off and bobbed his head up.

Glum is on twice-daily liquid dose of a bird-friendly version of Prozac, called Clomical, which has finally put him back on his feet.

Animal experts believe he went into a deep depression because he could not understand why George disappeared.

Britons rate their happiness at 7.8: Study

London, Nov. 20 : The average Briton rates his or her state of happiness at a healthy 7.8 on a scale from one to 10, a new survey reveals.

That is the same as the French and Belgians but the Irish are even happier - awarding themselves a score of eight.

The happiest people in Europe are the Danes (8.5) and the most dissatisfied are the Bulgarians (5.8).

The figures are revealed in a Quality of Life poll conducted for the Dublin-based EU agency, the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound).

Woman with world''s first tailor-made trachea transplant describes her ‘best moment’

Claudia CastilloLondon, November 20 : Claudia Castillo, the first woman to have a transplant of an organ grown from stem cells, has described hearing the word ‘successful’ as the ‘best moment’ of her life.

The 30-year-old, who had suffered from tuberculosis five years ago, had experienced a worsen condition after having conventional treatment which led her to excessive coughing, leaving her unable to walk for long.

The mum of two, who was not able to utter more than few words prior to the pioneering surgery, revealed it was heart-wrecking not being able to do ‘normal things mothers did for their children’.

Murray wants to now pass his driving test and get another dog

Andy MurrayLondon, Nov. 20 : British tennis star Andy Murray and his family have had an unforgettable 2008, but his future targets seem to be more mundane.

According to The Sun, Murray may be ranked as the fourth best tennis player in the world, but what he now desperately wants is to pass his driving test and to get another dog.

When asked what his major ambitions were, Murray said: “To get another dog. I was walking the dog in Wimbledon Common the other day and this guy said my results have improved since I got my first dog - maybe there is something in that. I also want to pass my driving test.”
