Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller’s marital life unravelled in new biography

Marilyn MonroeLondon, Nov 19 : Late American actress Marilyn Monroe’s married life with late Arthur Miller has been unravelled in a new biography of the American playwright and essayist by Christopher Bigsby.

Miller and Monroe started meeting each other regularly throughout the summer and autumn of 1955, and on the evening of 29 June 1956, they were married in a civil ceremony, the Telegraph reported the biography as stating.

Couple of stings a day takes the sting out of bee stings

London, Nov 19 : Researchers from University of Zurich in Switzerland claim to have unravelled the mystery behind why some people are prone to occasionally deadly allergic reactions due to bee sting, while others are not.

While conducting the study over beekeepers faced with daily stings in their work, the research team found that high doses of bee venom early in the year block an important immune reaction for the remaining season, thus making them less likely to develop severe allergies.

During the study, the researchers tracked a group of beekeepers for several years to determine how their immune systems managed to cope up with the allergies.

Bee stings often trigger immune reaction including inflammation, swelling and pain.

Brit retailer Woolworths in crunch talks

woolsworthLondon, Nov. 19 (ANI): Woolworths, one of the United Kingdom’s largest retailers with 800 shops, is in talks to sell its troubled retail arm to restructuring specialist Hilco.

According to The Telegraph, the talks are still at a “very early stage”.

Any deal is likely to see the retail business sold to Hilco for a nominal sum. But even if Hilco and the Woolworths board can agree on a deal they will also have to secure the support of the retailer’s lenders, the paper said.

Made by BrewDog in Fraserburgh, Hop Rocker and Rip Tide, the drink and two others, were found to have breached marketing rules in a provisional decision by the Portman Group, a self-regulating industry body.

It decided Rip Tide''s description as a "twisted merciless stout" would be linked to antisocial behaviour, while the claim that Hop Rocker was a "nourishing foodstuff" and that "magic is still there to be extracted" referred it would enhance physical and mental capabilities.
