Reliance Big Pictures is gearing up to release 18 movies for 2009 release. Out of these, 11 films will be released in Hindi while the other seven films will be in five regional languages. Big Pictures in association with Excel entertainment will release Luck By Chance, the directorial debut of Zoya Akhtar on 30 January. The movie stars are Farhan Akhtar, Juhi Chawla, Konkana Sen Sharma, Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and Hrithik Roshan in a special appearance.  

Big Pictures COO Mahesh Ramanathan said that this will be followed by releases like Sikander, 13 B, Mirch and Chaloo Movie.

He added that we are in course with our targets and there is no slowdown from our side. We will be releasing 18 movies in 2009.

BIG Pictures will be releasing films in Bengali, Punjabi, Marathi, Tamil and Kannada in 2009. Regional basket of BIG Pictures include three Bengali films- Shob Choritra Kalponik, Abohomann and Janala, Shaji N. Karun’s Kutty Srank (Malayalam), MS Sathyu’s Ijjodu (Kannada), Amol Palekar’s Samaantar (Marathi) and Simerjit Singh’s Chak Jawana (Punjabi).
