Ryan Seacrest invests $1 million in the Typo Keyboard

Ryan Seacrest invests $1 million in the Typo KeyboardRyan Seacrest, the American Idol host and serial reality TV producer, has invested about $1 million in the Typo Keyboard, an iPhone accessory that is aiming to make typing easier for the users.

The smartphone case fixes on top of the iPhone and turns it into a device with qwerty keyboard, much like the BlackBerry devices. The case will add 1.4 inch in thickness and less than 1 inch to the iPhone's length. The Typo Keyboard accessory will target the users who now have to carry two smartphones one for typing and the other for other uses. The case will appeal to those who were reluctant to switching to the Apple device due to their love for the qwerty keyboard.

The press release said, "One night, Ryan and his friend Laurence Hallier, CEO of Show Media, were out to dinner and both had phones on the table. Two people, four phones. They looked at each other and thought there was an easy solution to the problem, a keyboard for the iPhone."

The new Typo Keyboard, which works when Bluetooth is enabled, will come with a price tag of $99.
