Sajid Nadiadwala Robbed At Gunpoint By His Own Security Guard
In a shocking development, prominent film producer Sajid Nadiadwala was robbed by his personal security guard in the early hours of Friday.
The security guard pointed a gun at Nadiadwala and his wife, Barkha and robbed them Rs 10 lakh in cash and valuables worth Rs 40 lakh from one of their flats in 7 Bungalows, Ocean View.
In his complaint, Mujhse Shaadi Karoge producer, said that on his request to the Tiger Security Agency, one Prabhat tripathi(22) was deployed at his residence since the last five or six months. Nadiadwala further stated that at around 0300 hrs, his wife, Barkha, opened the door and Tripathi walked in. He threatened her at revolver point and demanded cash and jewellery from her. He then barged into the house and threatened Sajid too.
Meanwhile, the police have launched a hunt for Tripathi.
Speaking with the media persons on this issue, senior inspector S Nalavade of Versova police station said, “Tripathi has been with Tiger Security for five months. He was mostly stationed at the Nadiadwala residence during these months.”
“The gun that Tripathi was using seems to be unlicensed. He told us this guard was not usually armed,” added Nalavade.
Commenting over Tripathi’s background, the senior inspector said, “He is from Uttar Pradesh, which is where we think he got the gun from. His employee registration has not been done with us. Nadiadwala should have personally checked his background.”
