Students still to get admit cards

Angry examinees protest as RU tests are just a couple of days away

Though all under graduation and post graduation examinations in University of Rajasthan are just two days away, students have still not received their permission letters at their respective colleges. According to university sources, February 27 was the last date for issuing the permission letters.

On Friday morning, when students approached the Commerce College to collect their permission letter, the officials told them that the college had not received the permission letters and students will be given their letters on March 2.

Angry students protested at the main gate of the college and shouted against the mismanagement of the varsity administration. As per examination schedule, the students have Book keeping exam on March 2 and on March 3, they would be writing their English compulsory paper.

Adding to the student’s confusion, the computer practical examination, which used to take place before the written examinations, will now be taken later and the date for the exam is still not decided, alleged the students.

“The exams are about to begin in just two days and we haven’t received our permission letters. I don’t understand how the varsity administration will issue the permission letters of 2000-3000 students just 2-3 hours before the exam,” said, Bhanwar Yuvraj Singh, a student leader.

When DNA asked NN Gupta, the controller of the examinations on the issue, he said, “All the permission letters have been sent to the colleges and students can get it from today at their respective colleges.”
