London, Feb 5 : Cristiano Ronaldo says he appreciates every penny of his multi-million fortune.

The 120,000pounds-a-week star, who owns four spectacular homes across Europe and is currently eyeing up a hotel complex in his native Madeira, is aware that Premier League footballers are criticised for chucking cash around like confetti.

But despite the green notes, Ronaldo accepts he is privileged to earn so much, reports the Daily Star.

He said: "I understand the value of money. A footballer's career doesn't go on forever.

"I spend for the short term sometimes, but I know what money means." (ANI)
