As she turned 33rd on Wednesday, the former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen celebrated her birthday in Goa, with more than a dozen of her close family members and friends. Among them was Sushmita's adopted daughter, Renee, who is an inseparable part of her life.

In 1994, when she won the Miss Universe crown, Sushmita was just 18, but the world predicted then that she would go a long way. She, indeed, has come a long way - leaving her footprints wherever she goes, be it films or the men in her life!

However, of late, the Bollywood beauty appears most unserious about her acting career, living in her own world, unconcerned about the rat race that goes on in the competitive film industry. She is no longer spotted at the parties frequently, and she does films few and far between. She says she doesn't have to be around lots of people to special; being with a few who really matters to her is celebration enough!

Recently, after receiving the Fun Fearless Female award, Sush, as the gorgeous actress is fondly called, is on a high. She is also looking forward to direct and produce a movie on Rani Laxmi Bai. Her forthcoming films include 'Dulha Mil Gaya' and 'Do Knot Disturb'.

Sush has dated a string of men, but she is single this time around, as she said: "Let's just say I'm single and ready to mingle... does that sound too trite?... Marriage hasn't happened. It will happen when it happens." She added that she does not want to discover that she has taken the wrong move after spending 20 long years in marriage.
