A new research has established that some special genes are responsible for the development of smoking habit. These genes can also increase the risks of lung cancer in human being. 

The research on genes and smoking habits is concluded by of the University of Michigan Medical School. The research is done on 435 people who are either habitual of smoking or tried smoking in their life.

Researchers found that through RNA interference, HIV infection can be suppressed. During RNA interference, where genes are artificially silenced using a natural molecular switch in the cell, can inhibit the replication of HIV in human blood cells.

A village in Indonesia could be under grip of bird flu. According to officials, 13 people from a village in North Sumatra were admitted in hospital this week after complaints of fever. Bird flu surveillance team from Indonesia's health ministry visited Air Batu village to analyze possible symptoms of bird flu. Blood samples of the patients have been sent for the test of bird flu.
