Kiev - Health officials in Ukraine on Wednesday quarantined an airliner carrying more than 180 people amid fears that that at least one of the passengers was infected with swine flu, Channel 5 television reported. A US national aboard the plane arriving from New York had complained of a headache while en route to Kiev, prompting the decision by health authorities to prevent those onboard from disembarking.

The incident took place at the country's largest airport, Boryspil, north of the capital Kiev.

Washington, Apr 29 : Scientists from Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR) have identified what they called a ‘Pied Piper’ molecule that can offer a key in treating prostate, breast and colon cancers as well as leukemia.

The molecule within blood cells, called Liar, leads other molecules into the nucleus of the cell.

Associate Professor Ingley said the findings were a leap forward in the understanding of how blood cells develop and divide, which could offer them a key to turning off cancerous cell growth.

Washington, Apr 29 : Legendary singer Sir Paul McCartney has written an open letter to actress Pamela Anderson urging her to promote vegetarianism.

The ex-Beatle, who himself is a strong animal rights advocator, has appealed to the Baywatch star to help, after both became involved in a campaign to help the plight of seals.

Anderson had urged to ban the slaughter of baby seals in her native Canada, while Macca urged the European Parliament to implement a ban on the sale of all seal products.

Washington, Apr 29 : Filmmaker Cheryl Hines, who has directed the Meg Ryan-starrer ''Serious Moonlight,'' has come to the defence of actresses going for cosmetic surgery, claiming that they should go for it if it makes them happy.

Hines, of `Curb Your Enthusiasm' fame, has taken her first step to film direction with `Moonlight'.

And at the film's premiere on April 25, Hines, 43, gave a thumbs-up to plastic surgery.

Known for his curt remarks, Cowell said that he can''t make up his mind about Abdul.

He added: "I think we''re possibly secretly in love with each other."
