Why chimps are 4 times stronger than humans

Why chimps are 4 times stronger than humansWashington, March 31 : In a new research, a scientist has suggested that chimpanzees are four times stronger than humans because our nervous systems exert more control over our muscles, thus preventing great feats of strength.

The research was done by evolutionary biologist Alan Walker, a professor at Penn State University.

Walker argues that humans may lack the strength of chimps because our nervous systems exert more control over our muscles.

Our fine motor control prevents great feats of strength, but allows us to perform delicate and uniquely human tasks.

Brushing teeth ''can help reduce pregnancy complications''

Brushing teeth ''can help reduce pregnancy complications''Washington, Mar 31 : Expecting mothers could reduce the risk of complications in their pregnancies and new-born babies by paying closer attention to oral hygiene, scientist have suggested.

Bacteria from a mother''s mouth can be transmitted through the blood and amniotic fluid in the womb to her unborn child.

This could contribute to the risk of a premature delivery, a low birth-weight baby, premature onset of contractions, or infection of the newborn child.
