Anand begins world chess title defence with a draw On Tuesday at the opening round of the World Chess Championship at Bonn in Germany, World Champion Viswanathan Anand displayed a fine performance when he took the match to a draw against Russian Grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik. 
 
The World Championship campaign was started by Anand with black pieces against Kramnik, and the match soon reached to a draw after 32 moves. 
 
This Championship will be played over 12 classical games. If in case a tie happens then the winner would be decided through rapid and blitz games. 

India rules the top slot at CYG on the Fourth Day

On Wednesday, Asher Noria, the double trap shooter stole the show adding on to the excellent performance by Indian athletes currently on the lead on the fourth day of third Commonwealth Youth Games being held at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex at Balewadi in Pune.

Shooting seemed to be the India’s expertise with 3 gold and one bronze in a day. It was Noria however who was in the limelight as he performed better than Athens silver medalist Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore's score by one bird. The 16-year-old shot a total of 180 en route leading to the top spot while his nearest rival Philip Smith ended with eight birds behind.
