Belgrade - Serbian basketball star Vlade Divac was Tuesday named as the president of Serbia's Olympic committee, local media reported.

Divac was named president after his opponent, incumbent OC president Ivan Curkovic withdraw his candidacy.

Divac won several World and European titles with Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro. He also won the European club championship with Partizan Belgrade and had an prominent career spanning longer than 15 years in the US national basketball association (NBA).

The Portuguese superstar predicts Manchester United will deal the fatal blow to Inter Milan when they clash in the San Siro tonight.

"We have a more experienced team and are the reigning champions. It's time to kill or be killed. Whoever loses will exit the competition - and we don't want to lose," The Sun quoted Ronaldo, as saying.

London, Feb 24 : Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher's house was burgled when he was in Italy for a Champions League match, and is one of several players to have been burgled while away from home with their clubs.

The Scotland midfielder lives at the house with his girlfriend and two sons, although it is not known if they were home at the time of the raid.

The gang broke into Fletcher's family home in up-market Bowdon, Greater Manchester, on Monday night.

They threatened a woman at the house then rampaged through the property, say police.

Melbourne, Feb 24 : At the age of 48, former Aussie opener David Boon was as solid in his defence as he ever was, and made South African net bowlers sweat it out in Potchefstroom on the third day of Australia's tour game against Proteas XI.

Boon is in South Africa as a selector for the Australian team, but during a break in play he decided to borrow a pair of pads and a bat and give the local net bowlers a workout.

He armed himself with Brad Haddin's bat, but did not bother with a helmet or introductions, The Courier Mail reported.
