Trivitron ties knot with BioSystemsMedical technology products manufacturer Trivitron Group of Companies, has formed an alliance with BioSystems, Spain, to manufacture in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) reagents.

It should be noted that this is the third manufacturing joint venture for Trivitron in recent times. Earlier, the firm has signed joint ventures with Brandon Medical for making operation theatre bulbs and Aloka of Japan for portable ultrasound scanners.

Indiabulls Real Estate gets nod to raise $600 millionProperty developer Indiabulls Real Estate (IBREL) has informed that company's board of directors has finally approved a plan to raise $600 million (Rs 3,000 crore) through qualified institutional placement (QIP) of securities.

The QIP proceeds are expected to be utilized for funding its power projects, mainly a 1,320-megawatt project planned in Amaravati in Maharashtra.

The board of directors took a decision to this effect at its meeting on April 24 (Friday).

NYSE-listed Covidien to enter Indian Healthcare Market Covidien, a $10 billion global healthcare products leader, has announced its entry into the Indian healthcare market with the establishment of its headquarters at Gurgaon.

The company intends to collaborate with the region's healthcare providers to offer its cutting-edge medical solutions and services throughout the country.

According to sources, Covidien will setup three 'dry labs' this year to initiate training programmes for medical practitioners in the country. In addition, it will also introduce some of its patented products in India.

Shree Cement to spend Rs 1,000 crore on Expansion  Rajasthan-based Shree Cement Ltd has decided to invest Rs 1,200 crore in the current financial year to expand its production capacity, including setting up two greenfield plants and installing four captive power plants.

According to company officials, the investments would be made in two grinding units in Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, and two power plants of 50MW each at Bangur city.

Godrej IndustriesThe Godrej group has exited the pest control service business by selling its entire shareholding in Godrej HiCare to ISS a leading Denmark-based facility services company at a consideration of around Rs 100 crore.

Godrej group flagship, Godrej Industries, had a controlling stake of about 80% in Godrej HiCare, while the balance 20% being held by individuals like A Mahendran, director, Godrej HiCare.
