Green Lineup updated to 2TB by Western Digital With the aim to attract more customers, Western Digital has made announcement regarding its novel drive. The new product has a 2 Terabyte Caviar Green hard drive with
32 MB of cache.

The seek time for the drive is 8.9ms. Apparently, it operates between 7200 or 5400 RPM depending upon the load, which saves power.

The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding in this regard at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit (VGGIS) in Ahmedabad on January 13.

The chairman of RPG Enterprises Group, Harsha Goenka said that the first phase of plant would be operational by May 2010. The state of Gujarat is also celebrating its foundation day on the same day.

Google Shuts down its print Ads program for newspapersSaying that it is yielding enough money, and it's aimed to cut costs, Google Inc, on Tuesday, announced that it is ceasing its two-year-old service to sell newspaper advertising, and thus gave a big blow to its own efforts to extend its ad program beyond web.

On its blog on Tuesday, the company stated that on Feb. 28 it will shut down its Print Ads program. Launched in November 2006, the program was fabricated to help newspapers make money by attracting Google advertisers to expand into print newspaper sales. About 800 U. S. newspapers were part of the program.

Indian operator bought by Gulf telecom company With the aim to buy a $225m stake in an Indian mobile phone company, Bahrain's national telecommunications operator has joined hands with a Dubai-based private equity business.

It was informed by Batelco (Bahrain Telecommunications Co) that it would take a 49 per cent stake together with Dubai's Millennium Private Equity in S Tel, an Indian mobile operator licensed to operate in six Indian states with a total population of about 230m people.

HCC, John Laig, Sadbhav consortium bags order worth Rs 1415 croreHCC, India's leading construction and infrastructure development Company, in joint venture with John Laing Investment Ltd and Sadbhav Engineering Ltd has bagged the prestigious order from National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to construct the 96.5 km highway from Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh Border to Dhule on NH-3 on BOT basis.

The joint venture, known as 'HCC-Laing-Sadbhav Consortium', has been awarded the project in the ratio of 37:36:27. The cost of the project is estimated at about Rs 1415 crore.
