Man loses peace after telephone number was accidentally listed for adult products!

TelephoneNew Delhi, Dec 11 : A Shenzhen man, who had his home telephone number accidentally listed by a company selling adult products, finally gets his peace of mind back after the rectification of error.

Zhang, a resident of the city''s Longgang district, had to field calls coming in from people seeking condoms and other sexual paraphernalia as late as midnight since February last year, reports the China Daily.

He even lost his wife after a call from a woman seeking adult products convinced her he was having an affair.

Renuka Chowdhury proposes child friendly logo for Industry

Renuka ChowdhuryNew Delhi, Dec 11 : Union Minister for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdhury today proposed a child friendly logo for industry, declaring that the child labour has not been used in any form at any stage of manufacturing or production of goods.

Speaking at the National convention on Right to Education and abolition of Child Labour organized by National Child Rights Commission in collaboration with UNICEF here, Chowdhury said the proposed logo would give competitive advantage to Indian industry at international level.

Indo-German agreements for development projects signed

India, GermanyNew Delhi, Dec 11 : India and Germany signed agreements to effectuate four important development projects funded by German Official Development Assistance amounting to over Rs. 3320 crores.

The projects fall in the realm of renewable energy, power generation and immunisation.

The projects include supporting lines X and XI of the pulse polio program, financing pare hydro electric project in Arunachal Pradesh, supporting the sustainable energy programs by the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) and setting up a 2x800 super critical thermal power plant at Krishnapattnam in Andhra Pradesh.
