Repolling in three Delhi constituencies beginsNew Delhi, Dec 2: Re-polling at nine polling booths in three constituencies of Delhi Assembly began this morning.

The polling will be held till 5:00 p. m. in six booths in Malviya Nagar, two booths in Burari and in one booth in Matiala Assembly seats.

In Malviya Nagar, repolling is being held at booth numbers 59, 60, 62, 126, 127 while in Burari, repolling is taking place at booth numbers 14 and 72. Repolling is also being conducting on booth number numbers 168 in Matiala constituency.

NSG to include Mumbai counter-terror experience in its training scheduleNew Delhi, Dec. 2: The National Security Guard (NSG) has decided to include their recent counter-terrorism experience in Mumbai in its new training module.

It has also discussed with Union Homse Secretary Madhukar Gupta proposals for the setting up of four NSG hubs, drawing commandos from the three armed forces and a proposal for an air wing for the elite commando force.

National Security Guard (NSG) chief J K Dutt and other senior officials of the principal anti-terrorist force of the country attended the over hour-long meeting.

CAG report says Maharashtra Government was callous on maritime security

New Delhi, Dec. 2 : The office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India has in a report said that the Government of Maharashtra has been callous on ensuring proper maritime security.

The finding assumes significance in the wake of last week''s terrorist attack in Mumbai, which claimed 195 lives and left 295 injured.

In its report, the CAG says Maharashtra has been one of the most callous states towards maritime security of the eight under review. Only two — Kerala and Tamil Nadu — agreed to bear the cost of operation and maintenance of patrol boats priovided by the Central Government.

Security forces must be prepared for bigger challenges : Jaiswal

Addresssing BSF personnels in New Delhi, Jaiswal described the present condition in the country as challenging for security forces.

He was speaking on the occasion of 43rd Raising Day celebrations of the Border Security Force (BSF) in New Delhi on Monday.

Referring to the sixty- hour- long Mumbai terror seige, Jaiswal assured the troops that his government would do the needful to address all concerns of the security forces.

Indian probe points to links with Pakistan; warnings ignored

India PakNew Delhi - Investigations have shown those behind Mumbai terrorist attacks that left 188 people dead were based in neighbouring Pakistan, Indian media reported Monday, adding that intelligence warnings about the strikes had been repeatedly ignored.

The findings are supported by the testimony of the only terrorist arrested during the three-day massacre in India's financial hub in which heavily armed men targeted two luxury hotels, a railway station, a hospital and a Jewish centre.

India's Ministry of External Affairs summoned the Pakistani High Commissioner Shahid Malik to lodge a protest related to the attacks, the NDTV network reported.

Pawar says R.R. Patil resigned, because he was feeling uneasy after Mumbai terror attacks

Vilasrao DeshmukhNew Delhi, Dec 1 : Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar on Monday said Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister R. R. Patil resigned from his post as he was feeling uneasy in the wake of the terror attacks in the city.

Pawar said Patil had expressed his desire to step down three days ago, but was advised to stay on till the operation against the terrorists ends.
