New Delhi, Nov 13 The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the principal constituent of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Thursday struck an electoral alliance with the regional party of northeastern India Asom Gana Parishad (AGP).

Addressing a news conference in New Delhi today senior leader and the Prime Ministerial candidate of BJP L. K. Advani said that BJP and AGP will put up a united fight against the ruling Congress party in Assam.

New Delhi, Nov 13 : Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh today left for Washington to attend the G-20 summit.

Dr. Singh was accompanied by the Finance Minister P. Chidambaram and the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia. He will stopover in Frankfurt while going to and coming back from the United States.

New Delhi - Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Thursday that India's message to the G20 nations would be that every effort must be made to ensure that the global financial crisis had minimum impact on developing countries.

Singh, who is scheduled to join leaders of the world's top 20 economies to discuss the crisis at a summit in Washington on Saturday, was speaking at a press briefing in the Indian capital after a meeting of a regional group of South and South East Asian nations.

New Delhi - Maritime surveillance is required in the Bay of Bengal where sea lanes are being used by terrorists to smuggle arms and drugs, Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa said at a regional summit in New Delhi Thursday.

Addressing a joint press briefing with the leaders of the BIMSTEC regional grouping nations, Rajapaksa said the issue was discussed at by the leaders of the member nations - Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

The stunner, who wore a prosthetic belly for her role in ‘Labor Pains’, said that the role made her understand what it’s really like to be pregnant.

In the movie, the ‘Mean Girls’ actress plays a woman who is pretending to be pregnant to keep her job in the flick, reports China Daily.

"It''s alarming in a way - you think about all the things that come with being pregnant. It''s kind of scary, especially for someone my age!" Lohan said.

New Delhi, Nov 13 : American pop princess Britney Spears is said to be working on a "top secret project" with her manager and choreographer.

Spears, whose new album ''Circus'' is scheduled for release on her 27th birthday on December 2, had released exclusive photographs of auditions she held for male backing dancers on her MySpace page, the China Daily reported.

The dancers are part of a "top secret project", and they have reportedly been recruited "in anticipation of next month''s ''Circus''".
