New Delhi, Nov 13: Decline in the prices of fuel and manufactured goods has led to the fall in the wholesale price index rate to 8.98 per cent for the week ended November 1.

New Delhi, Nov 13 : To give a boost to trade and investment in the BIMSTEC region, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has called for the early conclusion of free trade area agreement in the region.

Addressing the inaugural session of the second BIMSTEC summit in New Delhi on Thursday, Dr. Singh also called for concluding agreement on trade and investment to ensure greater flow of investments and further widen and deepen the economic relations among the countries.

New Delhi, Nov. 13: The Asian Centre for Human Rights (ACHR) today condemned the decision of the 11th summit of the Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) to appoint Myanmar as the Chairman of the 12th Ministerial Summit and BIMSTEC from 2009.

BIMSTEC consisting of India, Thailand, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Myanmar is holding its 11th Summit today in New Delhi.
