New Delhi : Emphasizing Kazakhstan's choice to progress through its own model of development and highlighting the landmark achievements of a once raw material supplying country over a period of seventeen years, its visiting President, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said on Saturday that captains of Indian industry should not hesitate or be shy of taking advantage of the positive investment climate in Kazakhstan.

New Delhi, January 24 : Actress Penelope Cruz, 34, has revealed that it was only after the shooting for her new film had finished that she realised that it was a comedy.

The Spanish actress has been nominated for Oscars in the Best Supporting Actress' category for her portrayal of gun-wielding maniac Maria Elena in ''Vicky Cristina Barcelona''.

She said that she just could not understand why people were laughing during screenings of Woody Allen''s latest project, reports the China Daily.

She said: "When we were in the middle of shooting, I felt like I was doing the most intense and disturbing drama I ever did in my career.

New Delhi, Jan. 24 : The redo (repeat) by-pass surgery on Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has been successful and his condition is stable.

Dr. Singh has been transferred to the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU) after the operation.

"The operation was successful and there is nothing to worry about. His condition is stable. He has been moved to the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU)," an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) source said here.

New Delhi, Jan 24 : A 31-year-old woman has died of bird flu in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China, in the Northwest of the country.

The woman got infected after a visit to a local poultry market on Jan 10, said Wan Xianyan, Deputy Director of the regional health department.

She was then rushed to the '' Chinese center for disease control and prevention'', where her infection with the H5N1 strain of avian influenza was reveled.
