New Delhi, Sept 16 : The Delhi High Court today said the offence of Utsav Bhasin, accused of mowing down a person with a BMW car on September 11, is non-bailable and issued a notice on a petition seeking cancellation of bail granted to him.

Delhi police submitted before Justice Veena Birbal that additional charges under Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) have been framed against Bhasin after the death of one of the victim Anuj Singh.

New Delhi, Sept 16: President Pratibha Patil on Tuesday said that an institutional mechanism is needed to seamlessly share intelligence on real-time basis to foil the attempts of terrorists and naxalites.

After inaugurating a two-day conference of Governors here, the President said: "The big challenge facing us is the battle against terrorism, Left wing extremism and insurgency. Outfits with varying goals have been waging a long and ensuring warfare against the State with some forming a mutually supportive grid in this proxy warfare."

New Delhi, Sept 16: Senior BJP leader LK Advani has appealed that the nation should adopt for zero tolerance against terrorism with all determination.

"There has to be change in the attitude. And what we call as the best policy against terrorism, in one word would be termed as 'zero tolerance'. We should not tolerate terrorism anymore. Such attitude should be adopted by the administration as well by the common man," Advani said.

New Delhi, Sept 16: Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr Anbumani Ramadoss will inaugurate a two-day regional workshop on illicit trade in tobacco products here today.

The workshop is being jointly organised by the WHO-South East Asia Regional Office (SEARO) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The workshop will be attended by delegates from SEAR countries - Bangladesh, Burma, Bhutan, China, Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Timur-leste.
