Finally a verdict has been passed in Hannah Foster case. Ex-van driver Maninder Pal Singh Kohli was found guilty of the rape and murder of 17-year-old student Foster, and sentenced to life imprisonment.

The incident had happened in 2003 when Indian national Maninderpal Singh Kohli raped and murdered Hannah Foster, 14 March 2003, in the city of Southampton and then fled to India. Two days later Hannah's body was found strangled and lying in a ditch by the side of a road, a short distance from her home.

The Indian Navy might be very proud of pulling down a Somali pirate 'mother ship', but it seems that there might have been some damages as by product. On Tuesday, a Thai ship owner, Wicharn Sirichaiekawat, claimed that Indian Navy's INS Tabar might have sunk off its fishing trawler Somalia's coast, mistaking it for a pirate ship. The owner said that the ship was missing along with 14 sailors.

India's Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra has been drawn into the latest controversy as Collage Sports, which managed Bindra's endorsements before his Olympic Gold medal, has threatened to move court after their contract was terminated by the shooter. Collage Sports were associated with Bindra since 2003 and had contract till August 2009.

Bindra terminated the contract a year before its expiry and signed a new contract for his marketing rights with B Formula Entertainment.

Russian Energy Minister Sergey Shmatk, speaking at the inaugural function of the two-day 'India-CIS roundtable on hydrocarbons' said regarding the Imperial bid, "Our approach towards this important deal is very liberal. If the Indian company acquires Imperial Energy, we are not going to put forward any demand regarding reciprocal stake in Indian oil PSUs."

OVL was expecting that it might have to give 25-40 per cent stake to a Russian company in lieu of the regulatory approvals from the Russian Government for acquiring Imperial Energy which will cost about 1.4 billion pounds ($2.1 billion).
