Airtel launches IPTV facility in the country By launching Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), Bharti Airtel has become the first private player to offer the service in the country.

The company will now offer triple play service - telephony, broadband and television over a single line to customers in the NCR and will be followed by eight leading metros. The service will also offer features such as real-time interactivity, where customers can order pizzas and book movie tickets on their TV, record programmes for seven days, rewind, forward, and Movie on Demand (MOD).

HCC, John Laig, Sadbhav consortium bags order worth Rs 1415 croreHCC, India's leading construction and infrastructure development Company, in joint venture with John Laing Investment Ltd and Sadbhav Engineering Ltd has bagged the prestigious order from National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to construct the 96.5 km highway from Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh Border to Dhule on NH-3 on BOT basis.

The joint venture, known as 'HCC-Laing-Sadbhav Consortium', has been awarded the project in the ratio of 37:36:27. The cost of the project is estimated at about Rs 1415 crore.

China Confirms Second Death from Bird Flu this Year The Chinese Health Ministry has confirmed the death of a 27 year old woman from Jinan city of northern China's Shandong province from the H5N1 strain of bird flu. The national Center for Disease Control and Prevention said the woman surnamed Zhang who died on Saturday was the second victim of the bird flu this year.
