Bharti Airtel Honoured With 2 Awards Bharti Airtel, India's top integrated telecom services provider, has been awarded 'Best Content Service' for the Airtel IFFCO Farmer Information Dissemination platform and 'Best Project Management' for the Gujarat E-GRAM project at the World Communication Awards held at London.

The Airtel-IFFCO Farmer Information Dissemination Platform project was granted the best content service for its originality and being capable of providing rural clients granular information about their livelihood conditions.

BSE Sensex up by 200 points; NSE Nifty gains 70 @2 p.m.

Indian Stock markets were trading positive at 2 pm IST with BSE Sensex higher by 200 points, backed by Capital Goods, Metals, PSU and Banking Stocks. NSE Nifty was up by 70 points at 2785. Among major gainers were Real Estate majors DLF and Unitech. Tata Steel gained further ground. The stock was trading 7.4% higher at 196.

Among losers were BPCL (down by 4.1%), HCL Tech (down by 1.35%) and M&M (down by 1.2%). Technology stocks were trading marginally lower. Satyam Computers and Infosys Technologies were marginally lower.

Indian ADRs ended positive on Monday. Tata Communications, Sterlite, Wipro, HDFC Bank and MTNL were among major gainers.

Congress is set to hold reins for third consecutive term in Delhi legislative assembly. Thanking the people of Delhi for voting in her favour, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit stated that the national capital voted for the party's development agenda.

Speaking from her residence where jubilant party supporters danced to drumbeats and burst firecrackers, Dixit said, "I congratulate the people of Delhi and many many thanks to them for their support and affection for the Congress."

"We went to the polls on the development ground with honesty and unity, and people have voted for that," said the 77-year-old leader said.

All sectors were trading higher today. While selling at higher levels has caused markets to slide, but some select counters are still holding strong.

Congress riding on anti-incumbency wave in Mizoram

Anti-incumbency factor, in Mizoram, has worked in the favour of the main opposition Congress, which has surged ahead of the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF), which has been in power for the last two terms.

According to the reports from Mizoram, Congress has won eight seats in the 40-member state assembly, and the former chief minister and state Congress chief Lal Thanhawla has won South Tuipui seat in Lunglei district.
