Expressing concerns over financial and accounting mishandling by IT giant, Satyam Computer Services, the Reserve Bank has asked all concerned banks to provide details of indirect loan and equity data concerned with Satyam. The international branches of Indian banks that have exposure in Satyam Computer Services are also asked to submit all account details if any, pertaining to the embattled company.

In a shocking development, prominent film producer Sajid Nadiadwala was robbed by his personal security guard in the early hours of Friday.

The security guard pointed a gun at Nadiadwala and his wife, Barkha and robbed them Rs 10 lakh in cash and valuables worth Rs 40 lakh from one of their flats in 7 Bungalows, Ocean View.

Professor M. Rammohan Rao has resigned from the post of Dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB) on Wednesday. His tenure was due to over in June this year. He also worked at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and Stern School of Business, New York University and RBI.

Rao's name has been involved in the biggest ever corporate scam in India, and he presided over the meeting of Satyam's board of directors to approve acquisition of Maytas Properties and Maytas Infra on December 16.

The Association of Scientific and Technical Officers (AOSTO) of ONGC, a major part of the oil sector officers unions, has declared that they have suspended their protest for 30 days.

Mr. Rajan Pillai, AOSTO President, said that a letter in this regard is being submitted to the administration.

Mr. Pillai also that the association is sticking to its demand to revise the pay structure.

BSE has expelled Satyam Computer Services from all equity indices of the stock exchange following disclosure of biggest ever corporate fraud by Satyam promoter B Ramalinga Raju and some executives.

Here’s good news for the Indian tennis fans. Continuing his great touch, India's Somdev Devvarman defeated fourth seeded Ivo Karlovic of Croatia 7-6(4) 6-4 and storm into the semifinals of the Chennai Open ATP Tour tennis tournament here.

Playing before the home crowd, Somdev, who earlier crushed former world no.1 and two-time champion here Carlos Moya, played his heart out to win the quarterfinal match in 86 minutes. With this win, he became the only second Indian after Leander Paes to figure in the semifinals of the 14-year old prestigious event.
