On 3rd April, UK would see Nintendo launching its new DSi, two days before its release in the US - at a retail price of 149 GBP.
A source, on condition of anonymity, disclosed, "A third iteration of Nintendo's hugely successful handheld hardware, the DSi adds two cameras while slimming the proportions, and perhaps most significantly adds both an SD card slot and 256MB of memory, transforming the DS into a multimedia tool."
A warning related to the fake imported Nintendo DS and DS Lite consoles that pose fire and safety risk, has been issued by a UK government agency.
The warning issued by Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC) came after seizing hundreds of fake Nintendo DS and DS Lite consoles with dangerous power adapters.
After being attracted by the price, around $60 rather than the normal $150, many people had ordered the products. However, it is being said by Nintendo that it did not produce the adapters.
In a recent move Nintendo has announced that all software and games with Dsi software shall be Region Restricted which means that a person in Europe will be able to use only European Dsi and not from any other region .While Nintendo's DS and Game Cube have no such restriction and are same for all regions.
Nintendo had recently announced the launch of the DSi with lot of hype. The handheld gaming console, which features two cameras and enhanced audio feature created a craze among the users.
But now, the company has officially announced something, which will definitely disappoint some of the readers. Reportedly, it has been learnt that Nintendo DSi will be region specific or region locked. That means people who are having European DSi won't be able to play any games from other regions and vice versa.
Recently it was learnt that the first update to the DS is under the process of development at Nintendo, and the company will unveil it soon. This new upgrade, which will use photos in games, will also feature an integrated camera.
The company has also undertaken the aim to expand the handheld's role as a wireless data device and further will invent a look for the system that is more user-friendly. A report however informs that the DS will be launched by Nintendo by December and the prices for the homeland will be kept under $189.
