Yousuf Criticizes PCB & Shoaib Malik

Yousuf Criticizes PCB & Shoaib MalikIn an interview to a news channel, Yousuf said, “I was compelled to join the ICL because of the behaviour of the board officials, the selectors and captain Shoaib Malik.”

Yousuf said that he had been under enormous mental strain and stress since the World Cup in 2007.

The 34 year old batsman made it clear that he had not joined the League for the sake of money.

"Money was never an issue for joining the ICL. I was getting paid by the board for not playing in the private leagues," he said.

Commenting over playing for the country, Yousuf said, "Even today I am available for my country but it is upto the board to decide they want me to play or not. But now I am committed to play for the ICL as well," he added.

The right hand middle order batsman was named in the team for the up-coming series against West Indies in Abu Dhabi starting from November 12.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq has advised Shoaib Malik to change his attitude and improve his communication skills with players.

It must be here recalled that Yousuf had signed for the ICL in September last year after being left out of Pakistan's Twenty20 World Cup squad. However, PCB was able to convince the batsman to continue playing for the national side.

The ICL authorities have already dropped all the cases against Yousuf for breach of contract in 2007. Yousuf will now make his ICL debut for Lahore Badshahs on Friday.
