Swine turned more deadly on Friday as one more person died of deadly virus, raising the total number of swine flu fatalities in Mumbai to 13.

According to the media reports, a 22-year-old woman named Pallavi, admitted at a private clinic in the city on August 22 died on Friday.

The victim who was living in the Kalyan area of the city had last month visited Pune.

Speaking with the media persons, Additional Municipal Commissioner Manisha Mhaiskar said: "Pallavi, a resident of Kalyan who worked in Pune, suffered from cough, fever and sore throat and first visited a private clinic in Kalyan."

She was later admitted in the Kasturba hospital where she had tested positive for swine flu.

Mhaiskar further informed that the victim was given Tamiflu from August 29 onwards.

After this, Pallavi was refereed to the Nair Hospital.

Mhaiskar further informed the reporters that of the total 826 patients, who tested positive since the spate of the H1N1 in Mumbai in June, 800 persons have recovered from the influenza.

"Of the 826 patients who tested positive for the H1N1, 800 persons have recovered and are fine now. Those who came within 24 to 36 hours of the symptoms got immediate treatment and have shown results than those admitted after 72 hours,'' said Mhaiskar.
