3 more dies of H1N1 in Gujarat, toll reaches 23 Gujarat has recorded its 23rd human swine flu-related death.

The deadly virus turned more deadly on Saturday as three more persons died of deadly H1N1 virus in Gujarat.

Informing the media persons, the health officials said that two people died in Surat while one in Vadodara.

Speaking with the reporters in the state capital, Ravi Saxena, Principal Secretary (Health), said that a 49-year-old named Anjuben Laxmanbhai and 27-year-old Miraben Dubey, also a swine flu positive, died in New Civil Hospital in Surat.

The third victim, 17-year-old Sandip Kachiya surrender to the virus at SSG Hospital in Vadodara.

Saxena added that all of the three victims were confirmed positive H1N1 cases.

The official further added that currently 43 persons, either confirmed or suspected, are undergoing the treatment at various hospitals across the state.

It should be mentioned here that Gujarat is the third worst swine flu-hit state after Maharashtra and Karnataka in the country.
